Value Add/ Assembly Factory
| |
In March 2006 we opened our much larger assembly factory to meet the needs of our customers. It is about 4 times the size of the old factory and is supported by a separate warehouse.
The assembly factory is divided into 4 distinct production areas as follows:
-
full time assembly work for a retail product involving platics, die cast zinc, metal components and other components which are then packed in customised packaging.
-
assembly and packing of mainly metalwork with some associated plastic components.
-
assembly and packing of mainly plastic components with associated parts for retail sale.
-
inspection and assembly of large parts we supply - rototational mouldings and some metalwork.
Special equipment available in the factory includes:
-
1200W ultra-sonic welding machine,
-
Vacuum machine for removing air bubbles from cast silicone,
-
Blister sealing machine for retail packaging (coming in May).
Due to customer confidentiality, we are unable to show photos of many of the things we do but it ranges from the simple to fairly complex:
-
adding a cord to a simple plastic part,
-
gluing two common halves together to make a large plastic tube,
-
assembling plastic parts with some foam,
-
assembling plastic parts with a cable,
-
assembling multiple plastic parts and then packing them in a specific manner,
-
adding labels and decals to plastic parts,
-
adding die-cut adhesive to plastic parts,
-
fitting threaded inserts to plastic parts ultrasonically,
-
assembling aluminium extrusions with associated plastic and metal parts for a commercial product,
-
assembling a growing number of retail products and then packing them in retail style boxes and clear PVC blisters,
-
and quite a bit more... .

Soon we will be able to include more photos. |
