Most of our quotations are ex China factory since this is the real price. The actual freight cost is based on volume and weight and destination.
Hence once we know your order quantity and destination, we can calculate a reasonably acurate freight cost and work with you to advise whether the goods are best shipped direct from China or transferred to HK and shipped from there.
For goods shipped to HK there is a freight charge involved. Both the China and Hong Kong governments levy a variety of taxes and charges for air freight, sea freight, road tolls, bridge tolls etc. In addition, your own freight forwarder will also invoice you for a variety of charges.
These charges are totally outside our control and apply to every company shipping goods from China or Hong Kong.  Air freight - we can only send by air from Hong Kong. Sea Freight - in the last 2 years shipping direct from China has changed a lot. Most freight forwarders, but not all, are now able to ship out of China without sending the goods back to HK. This is possible for both FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load). However, please note that shipping direct from China adds almost one week to the shipping time because of the big delay between when the port closes to receiving goods and when the ship actually sails. | |
