For some other customers, we have made single cavity trial tools to allow them to test a concept of a new/complex product before they proceed further with multi-cavity tooling. This often takes 5 or 6 rounds of tuning by working with the customer to help them modify their design to achieve the desired results.
In other cases where the moulded quantity is low, we are able to put smaller parts into a shared tool to help save the custoemr money. Typically we put such parts into Quarter of a tool but sometimes Half a tool.
