For European customers, or any other customers shipping product to Europe, RoHS, or Removal of Harmful Substances, is very topical at present because of it's implementation from 1st July. There is a huge amount of information available on the interent about RoHS and we will not try to duplicate this. However, in broad terms, RoHS is about banning the use of 6 toxic substances. Many of these substances are used in the electronics industry. However, two of the substances are common fire retardant additives for plastics.

At present we are able to supply most common plastics with an RoHS compliant certificate. It is important that we know at time of quotation whether we need to supply RoHS compliant material or not.
UL compliant plastic is a lot easier to supply but we still need to know that it is required at time of quotation.
