Preferred file formats for data exchange are as follows:

• 2D - .dwg preferred then .dxf
• 3D - .stp (.step) preferred then .igs (.iges) **
• Graphics for colour printing - .ai preferred then .eps
• Graphics for single colour or black & white printing - .ai preferred then .pdf
• Printed Documents such as manuals - high resolution .pdf 

** We are not keen on native Solidworks files becasue they can be easily and accidently changed.
